Conference
The non-profit sector is facing widespread challenges including an uncertain economic environment, managing fundraising and operational costs, and adapting their fundraising techniques in the face of the growing cynicism of the population.
For our July conference, we are holding two consecutive sessions where we will explore the future of fundraising and the practical implementation of technology in the non-profit sector with leaders in this field.

We are in a transformative period of development for the non-profit sector. Having survived the difficulties of the pandemic, organisations have had redesign and redevelop for the future adapting their methods of income generation and service delivery, staff, donor and volunteer engagement and communication, and organisational experience and expectation to build stability and long-term success in this new digital age.
Covid-19 simply forced change unlike that the sector had seen in over 50yrs. It immediately pinpointed the cracks in our plans with excruciating exposure that meant we had to adapt and fast to survive. Even the response to the crisis and the vaccine development has been a crash course in agile change.
For most in the non-profit sector, we knew what needed changing but before the pandemic, it just wasn't a priority. However, coming out of the crisis, the world we live in has forever altered and technology, especially tech that drives efficiency and productivity – releasing greater funds or time for the frontline response - has to be at the forefront of organisational plans and fully integrated and interoperable with all systems.
How teams work, and where. The events the sector runs and how donors connected to them. The services delivered and how they are accessed. And the systems and processes non-profits employ to deliver all of this have taken a huge leap forward.
We’re in a period where processes and systems are rewritten with the audience or outcome in mind. Where efficiency, productivity, and agility are key. And where automation and artificial intelligence become front and centre to our day-to-day.
This event will look under the hood of current non-profit organisational plans, their experience, and learnings over the last 18 months, and how these are shaping their futures.
It is a period of evolution in front of our eyes. The question now is, where will it lead us?
Session 1: Future of Philanthropy

In the first session, Future of Philanthropy, we will explore the current state of the sector and the changes that are needed to drive sustainable growth. How do non-profit organisations communicate their value proposition clearly? How do they adapt to address changing donor expectations and a need for transparency? And what impact has COVID had?
Session 2: The Semi-Autonomous Charity
Thu 22 July 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
In the second session, The Semi-Autonomous Charity will address how non-profits can harness technology to more effectively deliver on their mission. We will discuss the practical implementation of technology and touch on the systems and processes that may benefit from automation and talk through how it can drive efficiencies and cost savings while achieving better outcomes.
