Description of the Opportunity

This is an immediate requirement for one of our client (10B USD). We need an experienced DOT NET developer for a customer project for a minimum of 6 months with likely opportunity to extend. This is an India based role (currently work from home) but working directly with UK / European Team and Managers.

The project is to audit historic .net code used in some legacy integrations and report findings and recommendations to the Head of Integrations. As a .NET Developer you will be involved in design, development, coding, customization, configuration, testing, and deployment in support of enterprise packaged solutions. Evaluate the existing applications used by a business and review ways to enhance these applications for reliable architecture, stability, reusability, performance, automation, security and metrics.

Summary Of The Role

• Create accurate documentation detailing codes used in new applications. These documents can include information about databases, operational procedures and software development processes
• Liaise with our service desk and IT teams to support the business as required. Maintain a log and submit a weekly report.
• Make regular modifications to existing software for error correction, adaptation to new hardware and improve overall function and performance
• Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and C#/VB.NET
• Prepare and maintain code for various .Net applications and resolve any defects in systems.

Qualifications and Skills

• BBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or equivalent with programming experience
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experienced (9+ years) of design and/or development experience with C#, VB, ASP.Net, IIS, Jquery, Bootstrap, SQL, windows servers, Webservices, APIs, general concepts of data, message integration
• Database design and development (Microsoft SQL Server)
• Experience with Web Services, WCF and Service Oriented Architecture a plus
• Experience with concurrent development source control (Git) and continuous integration (Jenkins or Bamboo)
• Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
