SOCIAL MEDIA AND UI DESIGN MANAGER APPRENTICESHIP

Location - UK (working from home with visits to office and to meet the team approximately 1-3 times per month

 

Established in Jan 2019 in the UK, Alphalake Ai is a managed automation and AI services company driving digital health transformation in healthcare and life science. We specialise in intelligent automation, RPA, data and decision making science, AI app development and remote working solutions. Our biggest customer is the National Health Service (NHS) in the UK.

We are now expanding our operations to include the Middle East and Australian market. Our team in India functions as a global tech support hub for our clients.

We support our customers in four key areas:

  • INTELLIGENT HEALTHCARE AUTOMATION
  • DATA CONSULTING 
  • PROCESS CONSULTING 
  • MACHINE LEARNING APPLICATIONS AND DATA ENGINEERING

The Opportunity

We are looking for a budding young creative with a real passion and interest in digital marketing, graphics and UI design. Demonstrable artistic talent to join both our international marketing and digital product teams. Working for a start-up, the successful candidate needs to be an internally motivated self-starter who is good at problem-solving and happy to give anything a go. 

The successful candidate will be a key and highly valued member of the international marketing team, working closely with our teams in the UK, India, Ireland and Australia.

 

 

As a UI and Social Media Apprentice, your responsibilities would include:

  • Working with the creative team to brainstorm content & design ideas for social media campaigns.
  • Writing and scheduling social posts through our scheduling tool (HubSpot).
  • Carrying out competitors and hashtag research to help us stand out in their sectors.
  • Driving audience and page growth across multiple platforms.
  • Community management, which will include monitoring and responding to queries & DMs, monitoring industry trends and engaging in regular outreach as the various pages.
  • Assisting with creating impactful digital marketing campaigns
  • Creating monthly analytical reports on social media progress to feedback to clients
  • Providing support to our graphic designer
  • Carrying out office admin tasks

Desired skills

  • Excellent skills in written and verbal communication and the ability to communicate at all levels of a business effectively
  • Previous experience working with Adobe Photoshop would be advantageous
  • Able to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own time to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, specifically LinkedIn
  • Some familiarity with design software is required, which should preferably include at least one of the following; Canva, Figma, Sketch, Marvel, InVision, Zeplin or Adobe creative suite.

Desirable but not essential

  • Proficient in wire-framing and comfortable producing concept sketches and user flows
  • A portfolio which demonstrates work across a range of personal projects
  • A good working knowledge of design/prototyping software and techniques (e.g. Figma, Sketch, Adobe)
  • Some experience in user research and usability testing would be a bonus
  • Experience with mobile and responsive design is highly desirable
